In accordance with the California Public Schools Accountability Act, the California Department of Education has implemented standardized tests to ensure compliance with curriculum guidelines and measure academic progress in California public schools.
California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress Test Results measures achievement on the California Achievement test, given each year to students in grades 3-11. These tests assess whether a school is meeting state educational goals and measures progress from year to year.
